A throng of media gathered as Mario Cardoza announced that he had come to terms with the Ravens and that he would be sticking around town another 2 years. Cardoza is set to draw $12,800,000 in pay over that time.
On the season Cardoza has compiled a 8-4 mark with a 3.27 ERA in 15 starts. In pitching 93.2 innings he has 79 strikeouts and 28 walks while limiting the opposition to a .232 batting average.
Cardoza has been with the Ravens since joining as an international scouting discovery in 2001, though he did not start playing until 2004 when he was placed in the Single-A level Lubbock farm team as a reliever. He broke into the Bull League major level in 2009 and made the AEL All-Star team in 2015.
