The Montreal Metros have dealt second baseman Peyton May to the Denver Danger, sending him packing right after his final at-bat against the Minneapolis Ravens in tonight’s 5-4 loss.

Montreal Metros GM Danny Desrochers has only been on the job for a day, but he has already sent manager Nick Pettis packing. The firing was announced today, and the team named Scott Stutter as his replacement at the same time.

Montreal Metros’ AA prospect Jorge Hernandez, who is currently playing winter ball with the Lagos Millionaires, went 5-for-5 at the plate in a 9-2 trouncing of the Cairo Pharaohs today. Hernandez, who normally plays for the Cedar Defenders, is batting .636 after today’s game, in which he doubled and had 3 RBIs.
The annual Bull League winter meetings conclude today with the Rule 5 draft. The OSA top-rated player in the pool of potential picks is Chicago’s Jon Guillot, a 22-year-old 3B currently playing at AA-level Anchorage Sky Chiefs. The Cow League season came to a close, with the last wild card spot determined on the last day in dramatic fashion. The last wild card slot was awarded to the Hillsborough Dinos (California) after they defeated the Savannah Salts (Seattle) in a make-up game yesterday.
