Mike ‘Dinosaur’ Lapi, who was only inducted into the Hall of Fame earlier this year, is celebrating his 47th birthday today.

The Arizona Cowboys will welcome veteran free agent slugger Barry ‘The Hulk’ Janmaat to their batting order for next season after signing him to a one-year deal worth $990,000.
The Hulk had most recently been signed to the Jacksonville Ravens, who signed him to a one-year, $4.9 million deal last December, but he only made it through 18 games before rupturing his MCL on June 1, and missing out on the rest of the season. Hall of Famer Barry “Captain” Bats, who wore #6 for the Richmond Ravens, New York Minutemen, and other teams, is celebrating his 51st birthday today.

Brendan Burke was a rookie GM and manager of the Jacksonville Ravens when he was taken on prior to the opening of the 2017 season, but the Ravens fans and ownership were glad they found him.

The AA-level Heifer League’s regular season has come to a close, and the four divisional title winners will move on to the two-round playoff starting tomorrow. The four playoff teams are the Barn League’s Savannah Buccanners, and the Spokane North Stars, and the Pasture League’s Nashville Misfits and the Anchorage Sky Chiefs.
The A-level Calf League has come to a close, and the playoffs are now underway.
