PRCL Week #6 – Melbourne Reclaims Top of Power Rankings

The Melbourne U Admirals have reclaimed the top of the PRCL power rankings as the Pacific Rim College League completes the 6th week of its short season.

But the question remains how long will they stay there? The Admirals have four pitchers out with injuries, including closer Sean Axworthy who was injured on February 11th, and will likely miss most of the 2019 season, in addition to the rest of this season. FRL’s Star Player Named

So far in his young career, Nate Warner has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Fla Rookie League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 21-year-old Key Largo Ohio Oxen B left fielder hit at a torrid .636 clip as he collected 7 hits in 11 at-bats, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

Looking at his season stats, Warner has compiled a .331 batting average and a .386 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 39 runs.

FRL Weekly Team Power Rankings, Week #6

Ohio Oxen B have reclaimed the top slot in the Weekly Team Power Rankings for the Florida Rookie League (FRL) this week, edging out their Altantic Coast Division rivals, the New York Minutemen B. Ohio has been hitting well, taking their series against Dallas Lawmen B 2-1, and outscoring Toronto Nomads B 8-1 on the 21st to avoid a sweep. They are currently 3rd in the FRL in runs scored (163) and 2nd in home runs (30), led largely on the efforts of Nate Warner (DH) who is hitting an impressive .296 with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs.
