(GAME DATE — June 23, 2020) — Washington Freedom pitcher Willie Salazar did his job to perfection today, blanking the Calgary Inferno at Liberty Field. He scattered 5 hits while striking out 6 in the complete game 1-0 shutout win.

Hops Stymie Montreal, Take 5-0 Win

(GAME DATE — June 3, 2020) — It was a fun time at Brauhaus, where the Montreal Metros and Milwaukee Hops tangled, with Hops left-hander Brian Martin pitching his team to a 4-hit shutout win. Milwaukee has now won 3 in a row.

Martel Shuts Out Pittsburgh

(GAME DATE — May 15, 2020) — The Pittsburgh Iron Pigs had no answer today for Montreal Metros pitcher Judson Martel. They failed to score a single run against him, losing 4-0. Pittsburgh managed only 2 hits off Martel, who had 8 strikeouts.

Deucey Gets 9 K’s in 1st Shutout since 2010

Oxen starter A.C. Deucey notched his first shutout since 2010 on a 9-inning 5-hitter against Battle Creek. Ohio won 6-0.

Ohio Oxen hurler A.C. Deucey rung up nine Battle Creek batters while holding them to just five hits on his way to his first complete game shutout since 2010, his first with the Oxen, today.

Fujimura Tosses Shutout

Montreal’s Yoshiaki Fujimura breezed through the Detroit Motorheads lineup today, collecting a 4-hit shutout and a 5-0 victory along the way. Fujimura fanned 8 as well. It was the 10th shutout by Montreal pitchers this season, putting them at the top of the shutout leaderboard this season, ahead of Toronto and Seattle, both tied with 9.

Soto, Malone Toss Shutouts

Anchorage Aces rookie star Jose Soto threw a gem of a game today, a near-perfect one-hitter against the Battle Creek Attack, winning 9-0 in inter-league action tonight. Soto chalked up 14 strikeouts on the effort, and is quickly solidifying a reputation as one of the most feared pitchers in the AEL.

Nomads starter Malone improved to 8-2 after a shutout tonight
