BOWL Playoffs Set

The Bull Oceanic Winter League (BOWL) has nearly wrapped up it’s first season of developmental winter baseball, after the last of the regular season round-robins games finished yesterday.

Veteran Closers Up for Free Agency This Season

Four of the Bull League’s top relievers are up for free agency at the end of 2018, and all eyes will be watching to see who gets offered extensions, and who gets their walking papers.

Dave O’Brien Hired in Seattle

The Seattle Salts have hired Dave O’Brien as GM and manager, replacing Rex Randy, who had been GM for much of 2017 before mysteriously vanishing without a trace.

The Salts continued to play well, despite the missing GM, with Jerry Perelli filling in and bringing the team to the playoffs.

But, Salts ownership is hopeful that O’Brien is the man to lead the team to a Bull Cup final, breaking a 25 year championship drought, or at least to make their first appearance since 2014.

 

Papierclip Voted to the Hall

Jacques Papierclip will be the sole induction to the hallowed halls of the Bull League Hall of Fame for 2018, after taking in 82.5% of the votes in his second year of eligibility.

Detroit, Seattle Post First Trade of 2018

The Detroit Motorheads will send 29-year-old right-hander Jason Connery to Seattle in return for minor league prospect catcher Kurt Kopitzke, the teams announced today.
