Metropolitan League Names Rookie of Month

(GAME DATE — Oct. 1, 2020) — Nate Cavanaugh is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Metropolitan League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn’t been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he’s putting up veteran-like numbers.

Rambo Makes History, Claims 6th Rookie of the Month

(GAME DATE — Oct. 1, 2020) — John Rambo, the rookie outfielder for the Chicago Pit Bulls, has carved his name in Bull League history with a sixth straight LL Rookie of the Month nod, giving him a clean sweep for all six months of the 2020 season, a league first.

Rambo has lit up baseball since making his debut this season straight out of spring training. He smashed the Bull League records for hits (244) and total bases (447), and came within a pair of home runs from claiming the league’s first ever batting Triple Crown. He led the LL in batting, with a .374 average, led in RBIs with 162, and was tied for second in home runs with 52, behind teammate Mike Strang. Rambo Named Top Rookie for Record 5th Straight Month

(GAME DATE — Sept. 1, 2020) — Record-setting rookie John “Lonewolf” Rambo, the
hot-hitting slugger for the Chicago Pit Bulls, has set a new bar for consecutive Rookie of the Month Awards, attaining his fifth straight nod for the award for the month of August.

The right-fielder, who is also a contender for the first-ever batting Triple Crown in the Bull League, went yard 9 times with 28 RBIs last month. Lake League Names Rookie of Month

(GAME DATE — June 1, 2020) — Youngster John Rambo emerged as the latest Lake League Rookie of the Month today, snagging the honor for the second month in a row. The young man from Chicago deserved the honor, batting .431 with 9 home runs and 31 runs batted in.

Rambo has been dominant since bursting on to the scene as the #1 prospect in the Bull League in April. In 55 games this season he has compiled a .389 batting average with 88 hits and 19 home runs. He has also scored 51 times and knocked in 59 runs.

Top Metropolitan League Newcomer Named

(GAME DATE — June 1, 2020) – When you think of rookies, you think of men in their early to mid-20’s. Despite the fact that Roberto Gutierrez is 30, he made a big splash by putting up solid numbers to win Metropolitan League Rookie of the Month honors.
