1B Baggywrinkle Signs with Norfolk

Norfolk Sharks officials presented Rick Baggywrinkle to members of the local print media today as their new first baseman.

The deal, worth $15,800,000, guarantees the 31-year-old a home in Norfolk for 2 years. It should improve the ballclub, assuming he plays to his potential. NUmerous other Bull League clubs are rumored to have been interested in signing the veteran, but the Sharks won out – reportedly due to the superb, active urban lifestyle available to stars who live in the bustling hub.

During his career Baggywrinkle has hit for a .280 average and totaled 472 hits, 63 home runs and 238 RBIs.
