Pit Bulls Win the Bull Cup, Overcoming 2-0 Deficit

(GAME DATE — Oct. 26, 2020) — The Chicago Pit Bulls have proven they can run with the big dogs, after an exciting come from behind series win to take their first Bull Cup in 28 seasons.

The Chicago squad had dropped the first two games of the Bull Cup Championship Series to the Metro League’s Nevada Speeders, and looked to be facing serious trouble with a possible sweep. But they battled back to a 14-7 win in game 3 after the series moved to their home stadium, giving them their first W and avoiding a sweep. Admirals Sweep, Speeders Advance

(GAME DATE — Oct. 7, 2020) — The defending Bull Cup champion St. Petersburg Admirals swept the California Tidals away in the ML Elimination Round for the 2020 Bull League playoffs, setting the stage for a possible repeat as Bull Cup champions if they can take the MLCS.

Their challengers will be the wild card Nevada Speeders, who bullied past the Arizona Cowboys 3-1 in their best-of-five series, removing the 2012 expansion team from the bracket after the Cowboys made a second franchise playoff appearance in as many seasons. Shock Double Upsets in LL as Toronto and Chicago Advance

(GAME DATE — Oct. 7, 2020) — Two stunning upsets have marked the LL Elimination Round, the first series of the 2020 Bull League postseason. The wildcard Toronto Nomads have pulled off an unlikely sweep of the Minneapolis Ravens, who were the LL West division champs, while the Chicago Pit Bulls have muscled the Boston Brawlers who had held sway over the LL East since the beginning of the year.

The Ravens had been a favorite for a repeat Bull Cup championship appearance going into this year’s playoffs. They were second in the LL in run scoring, hitting the 1000 runs mark, beating their record-setting 2019 number by 51 more runs. BBL News: Playoffs begin

(GAME DATE — Oct. 2, 2020) — The Bull Baseball League playoffs begin today with the LL and ML Elimination Round. For one lucky team, destiny is not far away.

Chicago Goes Crazy Over Team’s Playoff Birth

(GAME DATE — Sep. 30, 2020) — After years of watching postseasons from the sidelines, the Chicago today finally punched their ticket to the playoffs. Fans of the Chicago Pit Bulls were ecstatic; so much that some even took to the streets. Some streets in downtown Chicago had to be blocked off by police in order for the fans to stay safe.

“It’s a dream come true,” said one loyal fan. “I’ve been watching this team come together throughout the year, and even with our ups and downs, I feel like the team we have really has what it takes to win it all.” Another fan said, “This team is one of the best I’ve seen for us. Tidals Clinch Wild Card

(GAME DATE — Sep. 29, 2020) — The California Tidals are Metropolitan League wild card winners.

The postseason berth became official today and players and coaches alike celebrated as the team prepares to go in search of the franchise’s 3rd Bull Cup.

“We’re proud of where we are right now, but know there’s a lot of work ahead of us to get what we all want,” said first baseman Hiroki Omiya. “We’re definitely not satisfied just to make the playoffs.”
