(GAME DATE — May 18, 2020) – John Rambo burst onto the Lake League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie right fielder for Chicago garnered everyone’s respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .486 (17-for-35) with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs last week.
Rambo is presently batting .371 with 14 home runs, 41 runs scored and 45 RBIs. His OBP is .407.
Rambo is a favorite for Rookie of the Year, and already picked up hardware for April’s Rookie of the Month.

They had a gain in Elo of 21.2 since the start of the season, surpassing strong California’s gain by nearly double. The Nevada Speeders have pulled ahead of the pack to take the top of the weekly team power rankings for Week 9, after taking the first three against their former AEL rivals, the Chicago Pit Bulls, in the interleague home-and-home series that marked the main event for all teams this past week.

The Minneapolis Ravens have sailed to the top of the weekly team power rankings at the end of Week 6 of the regular season, as they settled into a groove atop the LL West standings with a 24-14 (.632) record.

The books are closed on Week #5 of the regular season, and the Rimouski Fighting Moose have surged to the top of the LL East standings in what has been a roller-coaster ride so far in that division this season. The Moose are 20-12 at the close of the first trimester of baseball, two games ahead of the Toronto Nomads, who held the lead for the early weeks.
