Ravens’ Gabel Reyes was named Elimination Round MVP in the series against Boston

The Ravens unleashed a torrent of home runs in their set with Boston, with at least one in every game, but with three players going long in a game twice during the series. Center fielder Gabel Reyes tallied up 3 in total, scoring 7 runs and driving in 7 more on his way to a first career playoff MVP honor. Speeders On Top Again for Week #13

The see-saw has swung back to the Nevada Speeders, who once again find themselves on top of the Weekly Team Power Rankings for Week #13 in the Bull League.

The Speeders took 2 of three from Arizona to open their road trip, before crossing the country to fly to St. Petersburg where they are so far split in the first two games of a four-game set. Martel Opens Season with 1-Hitter

Montreal’s Judson Martel was in peak form, throwing a 1-hitter in the Opening Day game against Louisville

The indomitable Metros starter Judson Martel is back with a vengeance for 2018, curing all doubters with an incredible Opening Day performance, going the full nine against Louisville and holding them to just one hit and three walks, in a 4-0 shutout win.

Metros Manager Pettis Walks

Montreal Metros GM Danny Desrochers has only been on the job for a day, but he has already sent manager Nick Pettis packing. The firing was announced today, and the team named Scott Stutter as his replacement at the same time.

Pettis had only been hired recently, after the departure of Michael Smith, the previous GM/Manager for the club. He had barely gotten his feet wet with spring training games before the change was announced. Continue reading “Metros Manager Pettis Walks”
