Chicago-Nevada Series Sure to Rehash Old Rivalry

The Chicago Pit Bulls moved out of the American Eagle League starting with the 2012 season, and former AEL East rivals, Nevada Speeders, were moved to the AEL West at the same time, and have not yet made a playoff since then.

Admirals Take Command in Power Rankings for Week 8

The St. Petersburg Admirals have taken command of the Weekly Team Power Rankings, following a 5-1 stretch since July 2, with their only loss coming on July 4 against the Norfolk Sharks. The Admirals are now 8-2 in their last 10 games.

International Amateurs on the Market Today

A new crop of international amateur free agents have hit the market today, and teams are already chomping at the bit to sign them. Just 19 players are on the list, and with five teams spending well over the cap last year, just 15 teams will be able to bid on the top talent.

The top of the litter this year appear to be a bevy of Dominican players, including 16-year-olds, LHP Adan Silva, and RHP Ricardo Franco, along with 17-year-old LHP Manny Velenzuela. Ravens Stand Pat At Top of Rankings for Week 7

The Minneapolis Ravens have a death-clutch on the top of the Weekly Team Power Rankings after 7 weeks, and do not appear to be ready to let go any time soon.

Reyes, Yamada Named Batters of the Month; June Awards Announced

The Bull League’s players of the month for June have been announced, and the top hitters were revealed as Gabel Reyes for the LL and Chitoji Yamada for the AEL.

CF Gabel Reyes was named Batter of the Month for June

Reyes, the Minneapolis Ravens center fielder, went .314 in June with an OPS of 1.043, contributing 11 home runs to make 13 for the season. Reyes has been a fixture in the cleanup role for about half his appearances, and has been particularly effective from there, batting .359 from the #4 slot.
