(GAME DATE — July 6, 2020) — The 20-game hitting streak of David Baker has come to an end. The Minneapolis Ravens third baseman went 0-for-4 today in his team’s 3-2 loss to the Detroit Motorheads at Comerica Park.

Top Talent Still Unspoken For on FA List

(GAME DATE — Jan. 1, 2020) — There is a litany of top talent still available in free agency this off-season, as we roll into 2020, including hard-throwing pitchers, contact-hitting infielders, and big-hitting outfielders.

Surprisingly, no free agents turned down qualifying offers, and so none of the FA’s this year carry the dreaded daft pick loss if signed. That leaves some highly attractive, and reasonably priced deals potentially to be had for teams ready to spend.

Baker’s Hit Streak Sets Record

The Minneapolis Ravens third baseman who has been on a hot-hitting streak this year has finally done it. David Baker has set the new Bull League record for hit-streaks, at 32 games – and it’s still going!

The 28-year-old switch-hitter could not help but break out a wide grin when he singled to leadoff the first inning against the Boston Brawlers tonight.

Norfolk Sharks GM Recaps First Half

The Norfolk Sharks are hanging in the playoff race at 30-26. The club being led by All-Star Game MVP Earl MacPherson (no relation to Elle) and his 19 home runs to go with a .339 average. MacPherson, flanked by 10 time all star Danny Sanchez, who is hitting an AEL-leading .412 at the break. Second baseman Miguel Ortega is having a solid season as well batting .355. Zaphod Goes to Norfolk in Swap

The Norfolk Sharks and Louisville Sluggers have agreed to a trade that will see SS Zack Zaphod go to the Sharks, and LHP Ryan Hightower join Louisville.
