Pacific Rim Season Closes, Playoff Matchups Set

The Pacific Rim College League (PRCL) regular season has come to an end after 54 games, and the division leaders who will advance to the playoffs have been finally decided.

Melbourne U’s Yeun Sets Strikeout Record in Win

The Melbourne University Abos are lucky to have a pitcher like 22-year-old South Korean Chae-pong Yeun, as he demonstrated yet again in a game tonight against the Fiji College Red Wolves.

Yeun, in his 9th start of the season in the Pacific Rim College League, threw an 8.1 inning effort and set a league record by striking out 16 Red Wolves, while allowing just 4 hits and 1 run. With the win decision, his record improved to 7-1, and his ERA shrunk to 1.57.
