Ravens Select Seymour

Brandon Seymour, a center fielder with the Mass Bay Law College Maulers in the Can-Am College league, has become the first position player selected in this year’s entry draft. He was selected 5th overall by the Minneapolis Ravens, using their compensation pick.

The Ravens had been awarded the compensation pick for failing to sign Dan Mott last year in their 4th overall selection. Mott was selected 3rd overall this year by the California Tidals. Continue reading “Ravens Select Seymour”

Deputies Draft Mass Bay’s Horsley

The Dallas Deputies have chosen Matt Horsley as their first round selection in the entry draft this year, the club announced today.

Mass Bay, Grand Canyon Among Conference Finalists

The final four teams to advance to the CANAM college DIVISION I finals are set, after the Conference Finals games were decided today.

Willie Ware (3B, MBLC) went a perfect 5-for-5 today against Cape Breton, including a 2B and a HR

Mass Bay Law College Maulers 3B-man Willie Ware lit up the basepaths in a game against Cape Breton College Scots, tonight, with a searing 5-for-5 performance, in a breathtaking 12-0 rout over their Atlantic coast rivals.

The 22-year-old Ware had the exceptionally rare successful outing despite facing promising Scots’ starter Dave Angeles, who has normally used his changeup to devastating effect, but could not solve Ware on this outing.
