Davila Homers Twice in Ohio-NY Bomb Fest

It was a night of home runs down in Cincinatti as the Ohio Oxen fell to the New York Dragons 8-4 in a game filled with long balls.

All the usual suspects from both teams teed off, with the Dragons’ Manny Davila going yard twice, Chrism going back-to-back for one of them, and Jake Jett picking up a third for the season, while Oxen sluggers Garth Goyle, Corrosive Joseph, and Juan Toothry all found the outfield seats. Recent Signings Include Bricknell, Ohata and Davila

The holiday period has proven to be a busy one for big-name free agent signings, as three popular stars landed big contracts just before Christmas.

Davila Riding High: Hits for the Cycle

Inferno shortstop Manny Davila made big news today in Calgary’s 10-0 victory over the Norfolk Sharks. He was 4-for-4 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run.

“My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today,” Davila said later.

Manny Davila tripled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ivan Morillo in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

Currently Davila has 5 home runs and a .274 batting average.
