The Toronto Nomads have completed a 4-game sweep of the Chicago Pit Bulls in their season opener series at home, with a convincing 3-1 win.

Seattle Salts veteran Jesse Nelson has had to call it a season early. The 39-year-old 2B-man was injured on a collision at second base. Ironically, Nelson was the base runner and not the fielder, however.
Nelson had just hit safely to lead off the 4th inning in today’s game against California, when DH Hermengildo Nel grounded into a fielder’s choice to Tidals pitcher Yeong-suk Yi.
