NCAA Week #2 – UCLA Bumps Arizona, All-Star Voting Opens

The PAC-12’s UCLA Bruins have pushed Arizona State down a notch to take the top of the NCAA power rankings for week #2, after sweeping their 2-game sets against city rivals USC Trojans and a pair of blow-outs over the Oregon Ducks, and starting it all with a 1-1 series split against Texas A & M.

NCAA Week #1 – ASU Takes Lead in Power Rankings

Arizona State launched themselves to the top of the Week #1 NCAA power rankings, after the first full week of baseball wrapped up yesterday. The Sun Devils topped Indiana Hoosiers in the rankings, 168.5 points to 144.0.

ASU had a near-perfect start to the year, going 7-1 so far, and undefeated at home after four games. It’s too early to tell if this will remain the case, obviously, but the Sun Devils are pleased to take an early lead, though in terms of run scoring, NC State Wolfpack have the advantage so far with a +36 differential after opening the year 6-2, and also going a perfect 4-0 so far at home.
