Cruz on Fire: 5-for-6 for Milwaukee

(GAME DATE — May 27, 2020) — Milwaukee Hops center fielder Tony Cruz  wielded a big stick today against the Norfolk Sharks and his club walked off the field winners by the score of 14-7. Cruz helped tame Norfolk with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. “Dandy” Cruz singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.

Reyes, Yamada Named Batters of the Month; June Awards Announced

The Bull League’s players of the month for June have been announced, and the top hitters were revealed as Gabel Reyes for the LL and Chitoji Yamada for the AEL.

CF Gabel Reyes was named Batter of the Month for June

Reyes, the Minneapolis Ravens center fielder, went .314 in June with an OPS of 1.043, contributing 11 home runs to make 13 for the season. Reyes has been a fixture in the cleanup role for about half his appearances, and has been particularly effective from there, batting .359 from the #4 slot. Longhorns Advance to Cow League Cup Finals

The Brampton Longhorns have swept the Baltimore Bruins and moved on to the Cow League Cup final round, after defeating the Bruins 4-1 today.

Trade Action Heats Up At Deadline

Several trade deals closed as of the trade deadline today, though none involved top billed players and only one involved a current playoff contending team.
