The Ravens unleashed a torrent of home runs in their set with Boston, with at least one in every game, but with three players going long in a game twice during the series. Center fielder Gabel Reyes tallied up 3 in total, scoring 7 runs and driving in 7 more on his way to a first career playoff MVP honor. Early Awards Predictions for 2018

Although there is still nearly a month of baseball left in regular season, and then the playoffs after that, we thought we would share our early predictions for the Bull League player awards based on season performances thus far.

Baker’s Streak Now Stands at 30

David Baker, the hot-hitting third baseman for the Minneapolis Ravens, has accomplished a lot to help his team maintain its chokehold on the Lake League this year. But few of those accomplishments compare to his lengthy hit streak, which he has now extended to 30 games after an RBI single in the 7th inning tonight against the Louisville Sluggers.

First Half Top Dogs

With the All-Star Break done and out of the way, and the second half of the season already started, now is a great time to have a glance at the top performing players who took us to the mid-point of the 2018 Bull League season.

Reyes, Yamada Named Batters of the Month; June Awards Announced

The Bull League’s players of the month for June have been announced, and the top hitters were revealed as Gabel Reyes for the LL and Chitoji Yamada for the AEL.

CF Gabel Reyes was named Batter of the Month for June

Reyes, the Minneapolis Ravens center fielder, went .314 in June with an OPS of 1.043, contributing 11 home runs to make 13 for the season. Reyes has been a fixture in the cleanup role for about half his appearances, and has been particularly effective from there, batting .359 from the #4 slot. Ravens Take the Lead for Week 6

The Minneapolis Ravens have sailed to the top of the weekly team power rankings at the end of Week 6 of the regular season, as they settled into a groove atop the LL West standings with a 24-14 (.632) record.
