Storm Lose Erazo for 4 Weeks; Bai Out for Season

The Miami Storm will lose Francisco Erazo for about four weeks after he fielded a ball in today’s game against the Tidals. What was at first thought to be a sprained ankle turned out to be a more serious heart issue. The 39-year-old left fielder has been order to take strict bed rest.

Expansion Norfolk’s Budget Flies High

The Norfolk Sharks budget for 2018 is at $120 million, putting themselves not only their fellow 2012 expansion teams, but four other Bull League teams: Detroit, Denver, Kingston and Toronto.

Though the budget was cut by $2 million from last year, it marks the first time that four older teams had their budgets outmatched by an expansion team. Erazo Collects Hit Number 1500

Francisco Erazo of the Kingston Cannons earned his membership in the exclusive 1500-hit club this afternoon at Cannon Field. The 38-year-old second baseman got his milestone hit in the Cannons 6-3 triumph over the Toronto Nomads. Erazo went 3-for-4 for the game.

Lifetime Erazo is hitting .309 with 336 doubles, 17 triples, 240 home runs, 842 RBIs and 978 runs scored. He has appeared in 1386 games to date and delivered 1500 hits. Continue reading “Erazo Collects Hit Number 1500”
