(GAME DATE – May 13, 2020) — The Montreal Metros posted a 2-0 shutout over the Toronto Nomads today on the strength of a strong performance by David Almonte. The Metros pitcher held the Nomads to 3 hits while walking 7 and fanning 4 in the route-going win, securing a series sweep over the struggling Nomads.

Algiers, Melbourne Early BOWL Contenders

Although the end of the preliminary round is still weeks away, the Bull Oceanic Winter League (BOWL) already has two emerging power teams that are seemingly locks for the playoff round when it starts February 20.
