Montreal Carabins Take First Canada Cup

(GAME DATE — Oct. 27, 2020) — The Canadian Interuniversity Sports baseball season has come to an end after the Montréal Carabins were crowned the Canada Cup champions earlier this month. The team, which plays in the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association (CCBA), defeated the Waterloo Warriors of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference, winning the best-of-three series, 2-1.

Draft Pool for 2018 Announced

The 2018 June amateur draft pool has been released, 45 days before draft day, showcasing the top talent expected to enter the Bull League over the next few seasons.

York Lions win CIS Championships

York University has won the inaugural Bull League CIS (Canadian Intercollegiate Sports) college championships, defeating Dalhousie University in a 2-0 sweep of the best-of-three finals.

The Lions opened the series with a 2-0 shutout in game 1, with Fred Hutchinson delivering a commanding performance from the mound for the north Toronto university, pitching 5.2 innings and only allowing one hit, and two walks. Continue reading “York Lions win CIS Championships”
