Two Impressive Pitchers, Two Impressive Games

The Florida Rookie League has seen some great pitching in several of its games, including two games that wrapped up last night that were real gems.

In the first game, Bill O’Toole of the Naples Anchorage Aces B squad completed a shutout against the Sarasota Calgary Inferno B side, notching up 9 K’s and allowing just 2 walks and 9 hits as his team won 7-0. Anchorage Aces B SP O’Toole Tosses Masterpiece

Bill O’Toole, 21-year-old Naples Anchorage Aces B starting pitcher, had a strong outing against the Daytona Beach Denver Highlanders B at Daytona Beach Field today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 11 in the 3-0 win and walked 0 while surrendering 2 hits.

“Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us,” he said.
