(Game date: Oct. 7, 2018) — A number of well-known players have given their notice and hit retirement following the 2018 season, and the quality of talent now leaving the rosters of the 20 clubs leaves one to wonder whether or not an All-Star Team could be fielded among their numbers?

8th Inning Homer by Bret May Caps Heifer League All-Star Game

The Barn League All-Stars were in the driver’s seat early on, scoring twice in the 2nd inning against the hosting Pasture League All-Stars tonight in Scottsdale, AZ, during the 2018 Heifer League (AA-level) All-Star Game tonight.

The Barn League All-Stars took the 2018 midsummer classic 4-1 tonight in Scottsdale, during the AA-level Heifer League All-Star Game.

A 7th inning solo shot by Madison Cyclones (Boston) shortstop Mike Thompson finally put the Pasture League on the scoreboard, but in the next frame Savannah Buccaneers’ (St. Petersburg) center fielder Bret May buried the dagger with a solo shot of his own to make it 4-1 for the Barn League. Rookie Hartford Judges’ shortstop Leads Atlantic Coast League to Win in Annual All-Star Game

Frogs Ballpark was the place to be for baseball fans tonight, as the best COWL players gathered for the annual all-star game.

On the field, the Atlantic Coast League downed the Frontier League by a score of 9-3. Off the field, game MVP Jorge Soto of the Hartford Judges (Chicago Pit Bulls) said he thinks everyone had a good night.
