The Calgary Inferno have won the 2017 Bull Cup Championship Series, after defeating the Montreal Metros 7-5 in the final game of the best-of-five series.

The Calgary Inferno have tied the Bull Cup series against the Montreal Metros 1-1, and what could be a bad turn of events for the Metros, 2017 LL batting champion Jose Ramirez bruised his hand and will not play for a week.

Montreal Metros’ pitcher Lou Bricknell threw a complete game shutout, and saw plenty of support through the batting order, on his way to a win over the Rimouski Fighting Moose that ended the Lake League Championships and saw the Metros advance to the Bull Cup.

The AEL Championship Series wrapped up in short order, with the Calgary Inferno sweeping the Jacksonville Ravens, 3-0.
