Tidals End Lynch's Streak
Wednesday, May 8th, 2024
It was a doubly miserable day today for Al Lynch of the Seattle Salts, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose 6-2 to the California Tidals at Tidals Ballpark. The 27-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Tidals.

"Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," California manager Ben Bunker said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

For the season Lynch is currently batting .330 with 2 home runs and 22 RBIs. In 28 games he has reached base at a .366 rate and scored 16 runs to date.
