FRL Weekly Team Power Rankings, Week #7

Key Largo’s Ohio Oxen B rookie team has maintained their perch atop the FRL’s weekly team “power rankings” for a second straight week, and by a margin. West Palm’s New York Minutemen B team slid down in the rankings due to a rough week, in which they took a 5-3 loss against Lakeland’s Seattle Salts last Friday in which they gave up 4 runs in the first inning.

Storey Pounds FRL Pitchers This Week

Dallas rookie 3B-man Tom Storey was named FRL Player of the Week

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Fla Rookie League, but last week, third baseman Tom Storey of the Fort Myers Dallas Lawmen B reminded everyone just why he’s here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Storey rocked opposing pitching for a .481 average (13-for-27), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.

For the season Storey is hitting .263, batted in 18 runs with 2 home runs and 18 runs scored.
