Cusimano Raps Jupiter for 5 Hits, as New York blanks Boston 17-0

Justin Cusimano really sizzled at the plate in today’s 17-0 win over (Jupiter) Boston Brawlers B. The (West Palm Beach) New York Minutemen B first baseman blistered Jupiter for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

“Cusimano was too tough to get out today,” the Boston Brawlers B skipper said in the postgame interview. “No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too.”

Justin Cusimano hit a two-run home run off Ron Bayer in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Bayer again in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

To date this year Cusimano, who earned Player of the Game honors, is batting .366 with 12 home runs, and is a contender for the FRL Triple Crown as he leads the league in RBIs as well.

Meanwhile, hurler Edgar Holgate had an incredible outing for New York Minutemen B, registering 8 strikeouts and 1 walk as he threw a complete game shutout against Boston Brawlers B. Holgate’s record improves to 2-2.

The West Palm Beach based New York Minutemen B improve to 15-6, while the struggling Jupiter Boston Brawlers B stumble to 8-13.
