Martel Opens Season with 1-Hitter

Montreal’s Judson Martel was in peak form, throwing a 1-hitter in the Opening Day game against Louisville

The indomitable Metros starter Judson Martel is back with a vengeance for 2018, curing all doubters with an incredible Opening Day performance, going the full nine against Louisville and holding them to just one hit and three walks, in a 4-0 shutout win.

Kimura Out For Year with Blown Achilles

The Louisville Sluggers had been assembling a dangerous team this past off-season, and looked poised to be ahead of the pack come the 2018 playoffs. But all of that has been cast into some doubt when it was learned that first baseman Setsuo Kimura would miss the entire year with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Zaphod Goes to Norfolk in Swap

The Norfolk Sharks and Louisville Sluggers have agreed to a trade that will see SS Zack Zaphod go to the Sharks, and LHP Ryan Hightower join Louisville.

Josh Hicks Takes Control in Battle Creek, Plans Move

Josh Hicks was announced as the new GM of the Battle Creek Attack today, and in a not-too-surprising announcement, revealed that he plans to convince ownership to relocate the franchise.

Heifer League Playoffs Start Tomorrow

The AA-level Heifer League’s regular season has come to a close, and the four divisional title winners will move on to the two-round playoff starting tomorrow. The four playoff teams are the Barn League’s Savannah Buccanners, and the Spokane North Stars, and the Pasture League’s Nashville Misfits and the Anchorage Sky Chiefs.
