METROS RECLAIM TOP OF POWER RANKINGS

Montreal swept a four-game series against the Chicago Pit Bulls, then took the first three of four away from the Motorheads 2 games to 1 to complete a 6-1 week. Their wins included a 5-0 shutout win featuring a mesmerizing 5-hit performance by Judson Martel to notch his 10th win of the season. Home runs earned all the Metros runs in that game, as Metros 3B-man Hoshi Mizuguchi swatted a grand slam in the 1st inning, and right fielder Josh Moles had a solo dinger in the 5th.

The Metros were particularly effective in the Chicago series, outscoring the Pit Bulls 18-8 over their four games.
