California Tidals were involved in another trade, just a day after wrapping up a deal with Dallas that saw them lose starter Bob Oliver.
This time, they have let go of LHP Dan “The Man” Gore, a reliever who has bounced around the league lately, but put in respectable innings and crafted a 1.04 ERA last season in 14 appearances out of the bullpen.
Gore will go to the Rimouski Fighting Moose, who have invested heavily in right now this off-season, after tasting playoffs success for the first time last year. The Moose upset the 2016 Bull Cup champion Ohio Oxen, though they later fell to Montreal in the LLCS.
In Gore, the Moose get a workhorse lefty bullpen arm capable of longer innings and spot starter roles, sending SS Jonathan Dunagan to the Tidals where the left coast team no doubt hopes he will further develop his speed and fielding skills as he moves up through the minors.
