Fans were ecstatic as the Nuclears broke word that they had reached an agreement with Jonathan Lopez, the phenomenal young third baseman today.
The deal, valued at $183,333 per year, will last 3 years and give the team some extra punch.
Lopez spent the last five seasons with the 2016 Bull Cup Champion Ohio Oxen in the Bull League as a backup infielder and occasional pinch-hitter. He hit .333, getting 2 hits in 6 plate appearances this season with Ohio, both of those hits were doubles. He is expected to be placed in the middle of the lineup with Newcastle.
