Storm Lose Erazo for 4 Weeks; Bai Out for Season

The Miami Storm will lose Francisco Erazo for about four weeks after he fielded a ball in today’s game against the Tidals. What was at first thought to be a sprained ankle turned out to be a more serious heart issue. The 39-year-old left fielder has been order to take strict bed rest.

Miami may be able to weather the loss, as Erazo is only batting .148 after 8 games this year. Forbes Peddle will get the nod as his replacement for the time being.

Meawhile, the Denver Danger have learned that Dong-su Bai will miss the rest of 2018 after leaving a game in Nevada early. He had indicated his throwing arm was in pain, and the team confirmed that Bai has elbow inflammation that tuned out to be a ligament requiring reconstructive surgery.

In just two starts this year, Bai was 1-0 with an ERA of 4.00. His spring training had looked promising, after he went 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA. Bai has been injury-prone during his brief baseball career, and suffered elbow problems before, in 2011.
