Motorheads End Baker’s Streak

(GAME DATE — July 6, 2020) — The 20-game hitting streak of David Baker has come to an end. The Minneapolis Ravens third baseman went 0-for-4 today in his team’s 3-2 loss to the Detroit Motorheads at Comerica Park.

“It’s not just David who came up short today,” Ravens manager Scott Stutter said in his postgame press conference. “This was a team loss.”

This season Baker has hit at a .281 clip and produced 40 runs batted in, 8 home runs and 65 runs.

Baker’s streak is currently the 4th longest of 2020. Miguel Ortega, of the California Tidals, managed a 28-game streak that ended on May 9 when he went 0-for-5 against divisional rivals, the Nevada Speeders.
