The Ohio Oxen today announced that they have reached an agreement with free agent Justin Good, a 34-year-old second baseman they have been in contract negotiations with since shortly after the season ended.
Good signed to the Oxen for $27 million a year over three years, becoming the 7th highest paid player in the Bull League.
Nicknamed “Flamethrower” since his college days, when he was briefly considered as a pitcher, Justin has a career batting average of .281, with 132 HR’s and 457 RBI’s. He spent his last three seasons with Chicoutimi, where he batted .301 last year.
Good is a nine-time Bull League all-star who won the Gold Crown offensive award at the Shortstop position four times, though he is normally a second or third baseman.
