Ellis Wins Manager of the Year for 2017

Rookie GM/Manager Scott Ellis won the Lake League’s Manager of the Year Award for the 2017 season, following a highly successful 56-44 record, good enough for a second place finish and a wildcard entry into the playoffs.

Boston was swept 3-0 by Montreal, but that didn’t stop Ellis from being selected manager of the United States team for the Summer College Tournament for one of their three games, and then later the manager of team Australia during the World Cup of Baseball, where the team was 3-3 under his tutelage.
