The Cow League playoff quarterfinals have wrapped up and four teams are advancing to the League Championship Series.

In quarterfinal action, Kelowna dropped their first of three games to the Albany Statesmen (San Diego), then fought back to win the next two, and the series, with big hits from Hisanori Shimizu (1B) and Trevor McLeish (RF), with a no-runs pitching effort from Clancy Dundon. Anaheim fought off the west division first place team, Toledo Torpedos (Ohio), winning that series 2-1 on an effort spearheaded by Matt Keels (C) and pitcher Jake Davey.
In the Frontier League, the Baltimore Bruins (Jacksonville) will meet the Laval Zebras (Boston). Baltimore swept the Brampton Longhorns (Toronto) in two games, in which Bull League right fielder Michel D’Argent hit a homer.
