The Arizona Cowboys and Battle Creek Attack have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Arizona will part with 28-year-old 3B Ramon Gomez, while the Attack have dealt 33-year-old RHP Houston Scott and 22-year-old minor league LHP Gavin Chapman. “This one took a while to figure out,” said the Arizona general manager. “We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I’m glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs.”
His career stats show that Gomez has batted .254 and connected for 16 home runs.
Scott has logged a 3-8 record in his career, appearing in 59 games with 77 strikeouts and 22 walks in 75.2 innings. He has been credited with 10 saves and has a 4.04 ERA.
