The last of the merchandising stocks have been pulled off the shelves, and the new team name and logo for the Denver team has been announced. Formerly known as the Denver Highlanders, the team will start the 2017 season as the Denver Danger.
Team GM and manager Troy Olsen is said to be ecstatic, after convincing the team ownership to rebrand the franchise.
Denver started out in 1995 as the Denver Highlanders, joining the Bull League along with the Calgary Chinooks, the Kingston Battlements and the Hamilton Industrials. All three of the other 1995 expansion teams had already changed their names and re-branded since that time, becoming the Calgary Inferno, Kingston Cannons and Hamilton Crusaders.
Denver was the final holdout and has released their new logo and team color scheme to great fanfare.
