The Mexican veteran infielder, who was originally a scouting discovery by Toronto before being claimed off waivers by Kingston (now Miami) in 2005, went 4-for-5 on the day with 3 RBIs and 3 run sscored, as the Storm swamped the Admirals 9-4.
After the game, de Soto’s batting average stood at .380, with an OPS of 1.025 on the season. Miami continues their four-game series with St. Pete’s with game 2 going ahead tomorrow.
