BOL Wildcard Series Goes the Distance, Melbourne Prevails

One thing is certain — the Melbourne Dockers and Sydney Sailors left it all on the field.

In a back-and-forth BOL Wildcard Series that went to the final game, the Dockers prevailed at Ballpark of Lake City today to advance to the BOL League Championships. Melbourne won the deciding game 5-1 to capture the series 3-2.

“In a series that close, you feel fortunate to come out on top of it,” said Oscar Cruz, who was named series MVP.

Cruz put up a 0.55 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record.
