Arizona’s Bill Sarauer (C) is having a great Spring Training so far, opening with a hit streak that ran the first seven games, and three multiple-RBI games, including a 3-for-5 performance that included 4-RBI’s against the Tidals last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 3-time MVP Zenjiro Suga (1B), of the Hamilton Crusaders, has also had a very productive first week of spring. The 37-year-old bagged Player of the Game honors against Chicoutimi yesterday in a 4-2 win that saw Suga hit a 3-run homer in the sixth, putting the Crusaders on top.
Dominican-born speedster Jose Gonzales (SS) is on fire for the Kingston Cannons. In addition to his 8 RBI’s so far, he’s batting .429 with two triples, a homer and 3 stolen bases.
Spring action continues for these hot players, with Arizona (5-3) hosted by Dallas (3-5), and the Crusaders (6-2) and Cannons (7-1) playing each other today.
