(GAME DATE – Sep. 12, 2019) — Not that either team had a hope after the first few weeks of the 2019 season, but both the Chicago Pit Bulls and the Calgary Inferno can start planning for their off-season golf activities as they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Chicago is on track to post their 3rd worst season in club history, behind last season’s dismal 30-70 (.300) finish, and 2001’s reprehensible 28-52 (.350). Calgary, which won the Bull Cup in 2015 and 2017, will miss their 2nd playoff in a row, and only their 3rd since 2010.
(GAME DATE — Aug. 29, 2019) — The Bull League is entering its final month of play for the 2019 season, and the pennant chase will really start in earnest, as teams active rosters expand to 40 players for the final weeks.
Several teams are expected to make some big moves, with those locked-in teams using the extra roster spaces to bring in new players who can allow their veterans some rest ahead of the playoffs, while out-of-contention teams will give their upcoming stars a chance to shine before the offseason roster decisions get made. The Nevada Speeders are still in command of the weekly team power rankings after ten weeks of baseball, holding a record of 37-20 as they added two wins since last week, which was interrupted by the five-day All-Star break.
The Speeders capped off their home-and-home sweep of the Chicago Pit Bulls with a 10-2 win on the 16th, just before breaking for the midsummer classic. They opened their four-game set yesterday against California with a 6-1 win. Continue reading “Week #10: Nevada Still In Control”
The Nevada Speeders have pulled ahead of the pack to take the top of the weekly team power rankings for Week 9, after taking the first three against their former AEL rivals, the Chicago Pit Bulls, in the interleague home-and-home series that marked the main event for all teams this past week.

The Bull Oceanic Winter League (BOWL) wrapped up its first season of developmental baseball, with the Tunis Freemen capping their season with an 8-3 victory over the Lagos Millionaires, on Friday. And now, two days later, the first BOWL player awards were announced to recognize all of the achievements during the 36-game season.

The knock-out round starts on Wednesday, with the single game semi-final matchups: Lagos-Algiers and Tunis-Melbourne.

The Short Season A-level Milk League, which wrapped up play on August 17, and did not have a playoff, but previously announced the season champions as the Aurora Swashbucklers, has announced their player awards for 2017.
The Cow League season came to a close, with the last wild card spot determined on the last day in dramatic fashion. The last wild card slot was awarded to the Hillsborough Dinos (California) after they defeated the Savannah Salts (Seattle) in a make-up game yesterday.

The AA-level Heifer League’s regular season has come to a close, and the four divisional title winners will move on to the two-round playoff starting tomorrow. The four playoff teams are the Barn League’s Savannah Buccanners, and the Spokane North Stars, and the Pasture League’s Nashville Misfits and the Anchorage Sky Chiefs.
