(GAME DATE — July 30, 2020) — There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 22-year-old minor league RHP Justin Hughes left the Chicago Pit Bulls today en route to joining the Pittsburgh Iron Pigs organization. 30-year-old RHP Andy Boyles will be traveling to Chicago Pit Bulls to complete the swap.
This year Boyles has compiled a 6-11 mark with a 5.18 ERA. Analysts think that Boyles has some upward potential still, showing demonstrated leadership on the field and a noted curveball. His career ERA is 3.91 and a team with better offense and younger defense like Chicago could see his season ERA drop down to near his career average again. (GAME DATE — July 30, 2020) — The Chicago Pit Bulls swapped 26-year-old minor league 3B Orlando Leandry for 30-year-old LHP Ricky Naugler of the Dragons after what New York officials would only characterize as “difficult” negotiations.

(GAME DATE — June 6, 2020) Ohio designated hitter Juan Toothry was a significant contributor in his team’s 8-6 triumph over the Chicago Pit Bulls. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double for Ohio. Max Maher got the final out and converted his 1st save after coming it to relieve an injured Ju-ao Liu. Ohio currently is in last place in the Lake League West Division at 27-34.
(GAME DATE — May 27, 2020) — Milwaukee Hops center fielder Tony Cruz wielded a big stick today against the Norfolk Sharks and his club walked off the field winners by the score of 14-7. Cruz helped tame Norfolk with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. “Dandy” Cruz singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.

The Bull Oceanic Winter League (BOWL) wrapped up its first season of developmental baseball, with the Tunis Freemen capping their season with an 8-3 victory over the Lagos Millionaires, on Friday. And now, two days later, the first BOWL player awards were announced to recognize all of the achievements during the 36-game season.

The knock-out round starts on Wednesday, with the single game semi-final matchups: Lagos-Algiers and Tunis-Melbourne.

The Cow League season came to a close, with the last wild card spot determined on the last day in dramatic fashion. The last wild card slot was awarded to the Hillsborough Dinos (California) after they defeated the Savannah Salts (Seattle) in a make-up game yesterday.
