Deetz Punishes ML Pitchers This Week

(GAME DATE — May 18, 2020) – So far in his young career, Brock Deetz has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Metropolitan League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 25-year-old Calgary Inferno second baseman hit at a torrid .400 clip as he collected 12 hits in 30 at-bats, 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

This year Deetz has hit 8 home runs and posted a .275 batting average. Calgary picked him up in a May 30 trade last season with the Toronto Nomads, which saw Jan Conch and John Lindsley join Toronto.
