Earlier this evening, Chicago announced two major trades and the Toronto Nomads joined them with a deal of their own. But there is late-breaking news that two more trades were completed today, making this the busiest day for trades in league history.

The Toronto Nomads and the Dallas Deputies agreed to terms that will see a major hole plugged in the Nomads’ infield, while seeding the Deputies with one of the league’s top pitching prospects.

The Bull League’s players of the month for June have been announced, and the top hitters were revealed as Gabel Reyes for the LL and Chitoji Yamada for the AEL.
Reyes, the Minneapolis Ravens center fielder, went .314 in June with an OPS of 1.043, contributing 11 home runs to make 13 for the season. Reyes has been a fixture in the cleanup role for about half his appearances, and has been particularly effective from there, batting .359 from the #4 slot. The Lake League’s Toronto Nomads remain hot at the close of the opening month of baseball as they pick up two player of the month awards for May 2018.
Jorge “Chachi” Chavarria was named Lake League Rookie of the Month after the 26-year-old third baseman showed he’s got some skill at the plate, going .323 with a pair of homers and 13 RBIs through the month. Chachi came to the Nomads in a trade with Arizona last season, and was sent to AAA Brampton, where he provided solid numbers on the way to a Longhorns Cow League championship.
